Time Warner Cable and Univision Communication sign agreement for multi-year and multi-platform distribution

Provider of video, high-speed data and voice services Time Warner Cable Inc (NYSE:TWC) disclosed on Wednesday a multi-year, multi-platform distribution agreement with Univision Communications Inc, a media company serving Hispanic America.
Pursuant to the agreement, even more Univision content will be delivered to subscribers of the company and Bright House Networks . This comes before the expiry of their existing agreement. A comprehensive selection of Hispanic networks and content, including new networks such as Univision Deportes, Univision tlNovelas and FOROtv and a new English-language entertainment cable network, the El Rey Network launching at the end of 2013, will be delivered.
The expanded partnership also includes renewed distribution rights for Univision's flagship broadcast and cable networks, Univision Network, UniMas, Galavision, De Pelicula, De Pelicula Clasico, Bandamax, Ritmoson, Telehit and Distrito Comedia. Also, the company and Univision's Television Group have signed a local news partnership, to better serve Hispanic audiences in Los Angeles, New York and other shared markets.
Additionally, the company stated that Univision Deportes Network and Univision tlNovelas will be available this week on Time Warner Cable and Bright House Networks.
The financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
