Polish mobile telephony network Play's market share rises to 18% [IntelliNews - Weekly Reports]
(IntelliNews - Weekly Reports Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) The number of clients of mobile telephony network Play has reached 10mn now, i.e. it rose by 22% y/y, according to president of P4 (the network's operator) Jorgen Bang-Jensen. Thus, the operator has increased its market share to 18% vs. 16% posted a year earlier.
The company's management board member Bartosz Dobrzynski said that the operator had 1.4mn business clients after Q3 of 2013, i.e. by 40% more y/y, and 1.1mn internet clients.
In Q1-3 of 2013, P4 posted PLN 2.136bn revenue from customers (up by 24% y/y) and PLN 412mn from wholesale services (down by 42% y/y, partly due to MTRs' falls). Its total revenue increased by 5%.
