Attention switches from telly to internet

Australian TV networks are looking for growth opportunities outside their traditional market. Nine Entertainment Company is buying out Microsoft's 50 per cent stake in their Mi9 joint venture. The acquisition will allow Nine to strengthen its position in internet display advertising. While Nine is repositioning itself as a TV company with a strong digital division, Microsoft is turning its attention to computer hardware.
