(Professional Services Close - Up Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Telecommunications systems integrator ELTA Technology and Aptilo Networks, a provider of mobile data offloading solutions, have partnered to enable Wi-Fi offloading to Chunghwa Telecom and FarEasTone, two of Taiwan's tier 1 service providers.
According to a release, they are using the Aptilo Service Management Platform (SMP) with Aptilo Wi-Fi Offloading solution and SIM Authentication Server. Aptilo's platform manages and delivers mobile data services for wireless networks. Aptilo SIM Authentication Server securely and automatically connects subscribers to the Wi-Fi network, for a seamless login and exceptional Wi-Fi offloading experience.
"The mobile data market in Taiwan is on a significant growth path. Now is the time for carriers to deploy service provider Wi-Fi and offloading solutions not only to alleviate traffic on crowded mobile data networks, but also as a way to increase customer loyalty by providing carrier-class Wi-Fi services," said Peter Cheng, Vice President and CTO, ELTA Technology Co. "Aptilo's solutions have been proven in large-scale deployments worldwide. We knew that Aptilo was the right choice for ELTA and for our customers."
"Wi-Fi offloading helps mobile operators create a great user experience for customers, and allows them to increase network capacity quickly via a network that's less costly to build and operate," said Jan Sjonell, Managing Director APAC, Aptilo Networks. "We are proud to be working with ELTA Technology to enable Wi-Fi offloading for their mobile operator customers."
