Google Assigned Patent for Data Storage Owner Election

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Oct. 18 - Google Inc., Mountain View, Calif., has been assigned a patent (8,560,685) developed by four co-inventors for configurations that provide "a probabilistic ownership protocol for managing respective web property IDs (WPID) associated with incoming event tracking data communications." The co-inventors are Mayur Venktesh Deshpande, Long Beach, Calif., Jacob Burton Matthews, Chicago, Kasem Marifet, Costa Mesa, Calif., and James Lee Wogulis, Laguna Beach, Calif.
