ALEXANDRIA, Va., Oct. 18 -- Google Inc., Mountain View, Calif., has been assigned a patent (8,560,605) developed by Zoltan I. Gyongyi, Menlo Park, Calif., for methods, systems, apparatus and computer programs "encoded on computer storage devices for determining social affinities from public data."
