Procera Networks launches PacketLogic IPE platform [Global Data Point]
(Global Data Point Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Global internet intelligence company, Procera Networks has launched PacketLogic 8960, a flexible Intelligent Policy Enforcement (IPE) platform for network deployments supporting high-density subscriber scenarios in a 2 Rack Unit (2RU) appliance footprint. The new PL8960 is designed for both larger fixed broadband service provider deployments and in the core network of more geographically compact service providers. The PL8960 is also suited to LTE network deployments. The PacketLogic 8960 supports up to 70 Gbps of network traffic throughput accessible through six modular I/O slots supporting up to 12 x 10GE or 24 x 1GE channels. When combined with Procera's PacketLogic Subscriber Management platform, the PL8960 becomes a tool that enables prioritisation, management of traffic, and provides business analytics through the PacketLogic Report Studio. The PL8960 is available immediately for customer shipments.
