Fashion flash [Herald, The (Plymouth, England)]
(Herald, The (Plymouth, England) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Last month the new Rosie for Autograph Autumn 13 lingerie collection cel-ebrated the one year anniversary of this exclusive collaboration. The collection of beautiful, sophistic-ated pieces uses luxurious fabrics such as silk and French designed lace. The palette is rich and sumptuous, deep mauve and dusky pink are highlighted with natural inspired tones such as olive green and taupe. Exquisite vintage styling, rose print blooms and intricate attention to detail, cut and fit continues to underpin the brand.
Plymouth born Rosie Huntington-Whiteley said: I can't quite believe it's been a whole year since the Rosie for Autograph launch, it's gone so fast! It's been a really exciting first year and it's great to hear that the collection has been popular with customers. I've learnt so much about lingerie design and it's been really rewarding being involved in the process all along the way from my initial thoughts and ideas right through to seeing the collections in store.
For my one year anniversary collection, I'm loving the new shapes and, as well as including my signature soft colours, I've experimented with a darker, richer palette. As well as the new pieces, I've included shapes that were popular from the launch collection, like the silk kimono, but this time have experimented with different print placements. One of my favourite pieces is the lace triangle bra, it's so feminine and ties into a bow with a silk ribbon at the back. There's also a non-padded longer line bra-let which sits with a high waisted knicker for a really 50s inspired look which I love.
Two local young women entrepreneurs will today open a unique bridal boutique in Plymouth which will offer an unrivalled 'one stop shop' bridal experience.
Local entrepreneurs Amanda Kirk and Amy Bellamy left their careers in marketing at Plymouth University to pursue their dream of setting up their own bridal business. Having run their own successful mobile hair and beauty company, Amica Hair and Beauty, during the weekends for the past four years the pair decided that it was time to expand the company and build on their success.
Amy Bellamy said: Our boutique will offer high quality customer service, beautiful dresses, a pamper room and more. A wonderful experience is at the heart of everything we do. First you fell in love with your fiance, next we hope you'll fall in love with Amica! Co-owner Amanda Kirk added: We are excited about the bridal boutique's grand opening and the unique experience we can give to brides and their bridal party under one roof - which is new to the South West. From over 200 dresses to choose from why shop anywhere else? Amica Bridal Boutique is located at Marsh Mills Retail Park next to Sainsbury's supermarket. The launch weekend runs today and tomorrow.
