Baosight, China Telecom ink contract worth 2.5-2.6bln yuan
BEIJING, Oct 20, 2013 (Xinhua via COMTEX) --
Baosight (600845.SH), the listed IT
arm of Baosteel (600019.SH), has signed a contract with China Telecom
(CHA.NYSE; 00728.HK) to cooperate on providing data centre service
for Chinese e-commerce giant Alibaba.
Under the contract, China Telecom will rent Internet Data Centre
(IDC) from Baosight to serve Alibaba exclusively.
The contract is valid for 10 years, estimated to involve business
of 2.5 billion to 2.6 billion yuan.
Baosteel chairman Xu Lejiang said Baosight and China Telecom had
deepened cooperation in new fields such as online business, logistics
management and smart office and that the two sides would conduct
further cooperation in the future.
Baosteel is a leading Chinese steelmaker headquartered in
