PLUMgrid Joins Red Hat OpenStack Cloud Infrastructure Partner Network
SUNNYVALE, Calif. --(Business Wire)--
PLUMgrid, the leader in Virtual Network Infrastructure (VNI), today
announced that the company has joined the Red
Hat OpenStack Cloud Infrastructure Partner Network.
The PLUMgrid Platform is a highly programmable software solution that
allows businesses to completely replicate the physical network
infrastructure in a virtual environment, and provision networks in
minutes -- without requiring investment in new hardware or changes to
existing hardware infrastructure. It provides a natural integration with
the OpenStack Neutron service through an open API-driven model that
allows OpenStack-powered clouds to extend their networking capabilities,
increase scalability and reduce complexity. As part of the Red Hat (News - Alert)
OpenStack ecosystem, PLUMgrid joins forces with Red Hat to meet the
scale-out requirements of service providers and enterprises, and
increase the adoption of OpenStack clouds.
The Red Hat OpenStack Cloud Infrastructure Partner Network is designed
for commercial organizations that offer plug-ins, hardware, software, or
services for customers to implement cloud infrastructure solutions
powered by Red
Hat products built on OpenStack technology. The program offers
partners the opportunity to gain the necessary expertise with Red Hat's
OpenStack technology through access to Red Hat releases and developer
support, as well as key resources needed to test, certify, and publish
solutions that leverage Red Hat's OpenStack offerings. The Red Hat
OpenStack Cloud Infrastructure Partner Network includes industry leading
partners from around the world, including independent hardware vendors
(IHVs), original equipment manufacturer (OEM) partners, independent
software vendors (ISVs), and system integrators who have joined the
program to provide certified solutions and launch their own practices to
support customer deployments.
Solutions that have achieved Red Hat Enterprise Linux OpenStack
Certification, or which are certified for other products in Red Hat's open
hybrid cloud portfolio, are available in the Red
Hat Certified Solution Marketplace.
"The combination of Red Hat's expertise in delivering OpenStack cloud
solutions and PLUMgrid's unique virtual network infrastructure solution
for service providers and large enterprises meets customer demand for a
fully automated application delivery model, inclusive of network
infrastructure," said Pere Monclus, CTO, PLUMgrid. "The PLUMgrid
OpenStack Neutron plug-in simplifies network creation and management for
Red Hat OpenStack cloud builders enabling greater scale, a complete set
of network services, and powerful monitoring and analytics."
"We're pleased to have PLUMgrid join us in the Red Hat OpenStack Cloud
Infrastructure Partner Network," said Mike Werner, senior director,
Global Ecosystems, Red Hat. "To help customers get the most out of Red
Hat's OpenStack offerings and our open hybrid cloud solutions, we work
closely with technology companies like PLUMgrid that provide powerful
and complementary solutions. We look forward to continued collaboration
with PLUMgrid as a key member of Red Hat's OpenStack ecosystem."
PLUMgrid makes networks as simple as a click. PLUMgrid is reinventing
networking with virtual network infrastructure, a software-based,
virtual parallel to the traditional physical network infrastructure. The
