LGS Innovations awarded USD4.1bn Communications and Transmissions Systems (CTS) contract by US army

LGS Innovations, an independent subsidiary of Alcatel-Lucent (NYSE:ALU) (Euronext: ALU), announced on Thursday that it is one of the winners of the USD4.1bn Communications and Transmission Systems (CTS) contract.
This Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) award has a five-year period of performance and will connect various communications systems seamlessly across integrated domains, providing the warfighter with reliable, instant access to communications worldwide.
Under the terms of the agreement, LGS Innovations will be competing to provide an extensive range of integrated solutions in support of the US Army's communications systems.
According to LGS, under the contract, it will be offering systems integration, systems engineering and analysis, operations, maintenance, equipment and system installation. In addition, LGS Innovations will provide material procurement, facility and site preparation, outside plant trenching, software support, program management, logistics, technical field assistance, test and evaluation, modelling and simulation, information operations and assurance support, training, and depot support at a local and regional level.
LGS Innovations provides networking and communications solutions for the US Federal Government.
