Polish housing developer Dom Development sees gradual improvement on market [IntelliNews - Weekly Reports]
(IntelliNews - Weekly Reports Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Major listed housing development company Dom Development reported the highest housing units sales in seven quarters in Q3 of 2013 and is noting a gradual improvement of market conditions. It pointed to, among others, a significant rise of flats being purchased with the use of mortgage loans, which it attributes to the historically lowest levels of interest rates in Poland.
Dom Development's net sales amounted to 414 units and gross sales - to 431 units in Q3 of 2013 vs. 386 and 411 units, respectively, a quarter earlier and compared to the lowest level of 334 and 370 units, respectively, in Q4 of 2012.
The firm announced it plans to kick off 4 projects with around 700 housing units in Q3 of 2013, while in H1 of 2014 - if the market situations allows for it - it may introduce 1,400 flats to its offer in 8 projects (including 3 brand new projects), according to its vice-president Janusz Zalewski.
In Q3 of 2013, Dom Development introduced merely one project with 218 housing units. At the end of September of 2013, its projects being realised featured 2,676 flats, while projects at the stage of preparations - 6,093 units (vs. 2,612 and 6,311 units, respectively, three months earlier).
