Wake Forest University School of Business Dedicates New Home
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. --(Business Wire)--
The new home for the Wake
Forest University School of Business, Farrell Hall, will be
dedicated officially at a grand opening event with a day of activities
on Friday, Nov. 1. The School of Business, which had its graduate and
undergraduate programs located in two buildings on campus, is now united
under one roof. The Farrell Hall ribbon cutting and dedication ceremony
will begin at 11 a.m. followed by an open house, and a keynote address
featuring global business leaders.

Farrell Hall was made possible through our generous donors, led by an
initial $10 million donation from Mike and Mary Farrell, the largest
gift given by individuals to the School to date. After two years of
construction, the $55 million Farrell Hall opened its doors to students
in early July.
"Farrell Hall is where we develop passionate, ethical business leaders
driven to achieve results with integrity," said Dean of Business Steve
Reinemund. "Our new home represents the shared vision of the ounding
investors, the Board of Visitors, the University, the Board of Trustees
and the School's alumni, faculty and staff."
The exterior of the 130,000 square-foot building features the same
Georgian style as the rest of campus, even down to the signature "Deacon
Blend" bricks. But inside, it is a thoroughly modern facility, with
high-tech features throughout the building - from classrooms, to
offices, to meeting rooms, to study spaces and to the 8,500 square-foot
Founders Living Room where students, faculty and staff gather, study and
"The open concept of the Founders Living Room is designed to be a
gathering space for students across campus, to provide opportunities for
personal and intellectual discovery," said Reinemund. "It is the heart
of our School."
The dedication and ribbon cutting will be held at the Farrell Hall
entrance closest to Wait Chapel.
