REVENUES DOWN ; COMPANIES TODAY [Newcastle Journal (England)]
(Newcastle Journal (England) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Edinburgh-based technology firm Wolfson Microelectronics, which supplies components for devices such as mobile phones, tablet computers and MP3 players, saw revenues drop 17% to 43.9 million dollars (Pounds 27.3m) for the three months to the end of September, and sunk to an operating loss of 3 million US dollars (Pounds 1.9m). It said revenues had been hit by slow sales and added fourth quarter revenues would be knocked by product cancellations and delays that were likely to continue until new launches in the first half of 2014.
