Japan : NTT wholly acquires VIRTELA [TendersInfo (India)](TendersInfo (India) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) NTT Corporation, ICT solutions and global communications arm, NTT Communications Corporation (NTT Com), has fully purchased global managed and cloud network services firm Virtela Technology Services Inc.. Both the firms' stakeholders have reached a definitive agreement. The deal will see NTT Com acquiring Virtela for nearly $520 million. Established by Vab Goel, who is also general partner at Norwest Venture Partners (NVP), Virtela's range of services includes global managed network, security, mobility, application acceleration and IT infrastructure services. Goel said : 'Virtela's virtualised network services model combined with NTT Com s brand and strength will create an advanced services portfolio that will enable enterprises to break free from the constraints of traditional network architectures and services'.
