Turkey Hill Dairy Names President [Intelligencer Journal (Lancaster, PA)]
(Intelligencer Journal (Lancaster, PA) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Turkey Hill Dairy said Thursday that it has promoted John Cox to president, effective immediately.
Cox, of York, had been interim president since August, when Quintin Frey retired after 33 years with the company.
The appointment marks the first time a person from outside the Frey family has been named president in the company's 82-year history.
Cox joined Turkey Hill Dairy 28 years ago as a marketing manager. For the past 14 years, he has been executive vice president.
He holds a bachelor's degree from Millersville University and a master's degree from Penn State University.
Conestoga-based Turkey Hill Dairy is one of the county's largest employers, with 800 employees.
It has annual sales of about $300 million, selling in 49 states and a dozen countries.
The dairy produces the fourth largest-selling premium ice cream brand and one of the leading refrigerated iced tea brands in the nation.
