Mark H. Aspiri Announces Run for U.S. Senate at Noon in Empire Colorado On November 1st

(PR Web Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Glenwood Springs, CO (PRWEB) November 02, 2013 Mark H. Aspiri is seeking the Republican nomination to challenge Mark Udall and return Colorado’s U.S. Senate seat to the people of Colorado. As with many Coloradans, “He is tired of being represented by divisive career politicians, and plans to unite Coloradans.” He will be challenging Mark Udall in the U.S. Senate race. The candidate’s announcement was made in Empire, CO, a unique community perched on the Continental Divide, truly representing what our state is all about.

Mr. Aspiri chose Empire, as it symbolizes Colorado’s history. Established in 1860 as a successful mining town, then reinvented in the early 1980’s, it maintained its nostalgic charm. Empire hosts the Americana Music Festival, Frog Rodeo, Scarecrow Festival, a week long Mile High Jeep Gathering. Additional events are an annual Chili Cook-Off and bonfire. The town is situated on the Continental Divide, representing the entire State, a truly Colorado supportive atmosphere in which to raise a family.

Aspiri said: “With its Historic Hotel, boasting a four star restaurant, incredible family restaurants, handmade candy establishment, and two great antique stores, Empire truly represents Colorado, I didn’t want to be another candidate on our Capital steps talking about community; I wanted to announce while being engaged in the community.” Growing up on Vashon Island, in Washington, Aspiri learned early the strong values associated with his Basque heritage. Son of an entrepreneur and philanthropist, he was raised to honor hard work, academics, and is grounded in his faith. After graduating from Kennedy High School, he later attended Seattle University to study business and theology. He graduated with a BA in Business.

Aspiri’s campaign will emphasize the need to unify people, and end the current divide in our Capital. “The news is filled with stories about political divisiveness. Across the board from health care to gay marriage, immigration to our government’s role in our lives, this divisiveness must end. We need to empower the people, not continue to grow our government. We need to unify our country and I know we can do it,” Aspiri said.

Mr. Aspiri has more than 20 years of senior management experience, primarily in sales and consumer marketing. He was one of two founding members of the 3P Foundation, a non-profit organization with the goal of promoting peace and prosperity. He is the President of Generation Point LLC, an economic development company. He was the Vice President of American Backgrounds, a company that provided criminal background investigations and drug testing, primarily to the aviation and banking industry. “I am proud of the work I have done to empower people through both my economic development efforts around the world and how we have changed lives through the 3P foundation,” says Aspiri. Over the years Aspiri has met with members of the executive branches of over 62 nations in his efforts to promote economic development programs. Through this he has gained an extensive insight and knowledge of international relations and government programs.

Focusing on our country and more specifically Colorado, he has the goal of “changing entitlement programs to empowerment programs,” which will be a major component of Aspiri’s campaign. He seeks to unify the people on state issues, and promote positive solutions in Washington D.C. to problems that concern Coloradans. His goal is to reflect what the collective constituency wants, and promote an end to the divisiveness that has had such a corrosive effect on our people and government.
