After having achieved a milestone in producing enough ceramic tiles to cover a staggering one billion sq m followed by another milestone of having sold 50 million pieces of bathware globally, RAK Ceramics has added one more to the list. The world's largest ceramics manufacturing company has sold 20 million sq m of Lounge Series tiles.
Launched in 2005, the Lounge Series has since been sold across more than 120 countries and it is a phenomenal reach considering that RAK Ceramics is sold in over 160 countries which means the tile series has found itself in high demand in 75 per cent of the RAK Ceramics' global markets, including some of the biggest global markets such as Germany, UK, France, Italy, Australia, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and UAE.
Recognised for its notable features like high strength, low water absorption, being frost, acid and alkali resistant, the Lounge series is available in a variety of borders and corners, and comes coupled with low maintenance costs. The tile has high breaking strength and excellent durability, making it an ideal solution for flooring areas with high traffic.
It is manufactured using sophisticated technology called 'Double Charged' that uses multi powder, which means it displays uniform patterns and shades better than natural stone and marble.

The Lounge Series, which is available in various colours, sizes and finishes, works well in both commercial and residential applications, especially for areas with heavy footfall traffic. Customers can choose from 40 by 40 cm, 30 by 60 cm, 60 by 60 cm, 45 by 90 cm, 100 by 100 cm, 120 by 180 cm and RAK Slim (4.5 mm thick) sizes, in six colours. The Lounge Series also features polished, unpolished and rustic surfaces.
