Learning hubs the new plan for Coursera
Nov 03, 2013 (The Australian Financial Review - ABIX via COMTEX) --
A partnership to set up "learning hubs" has been forged by the US Government and massive open online courses (MOOCs) provider Coursera. The hubs will offer students access to online courses complemented by weekly face-to-face lessons. The initiative is intended to address some students' lack of internet access while offering the learning benefits of face-to-face interaction. Coursera is the biggest MOOCs provider, with 5.4 million enrolments. Originally published in "The New York Times".
