Straight Path Files Patent Infringement Action Against Vonage
GLEN ALLEN, Va. --(Business Wire)--
Straight Path IP Group, Inc. (SPIPG), a subsidiary of Straight Path
Communications Inc. (NYSE MKT: STRP), announced today that it has filed
a patent infringement action seeking damages and injunctive relief from
Vonage (News - Alert).
In an action filed in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District
of Virginia, SPIPG alleges that Vonage is infringing its patents by
selling and utilizing certain Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP)
products and/or services.
"Many VoIP providers are receiving significant value by utilizing our
intellectual property without our consent," said Davidi Jonas, CEO of

against those, like Vonage, who are infringing our valuable technology."
Earlier this year, Straight Path IP Group filed enforcement actions
against other telecommunications service providers - Bandwidth.com (News - Alert),
Inc., Telesphere Networks Ltd., and Vocaocity, Inc.
