The Ohio State University Veterinary Medical Center at Dublin Holiday Pet Food Drive to Benefit Capital Area Humane Society

DUBLIN, Ohio --(Business Wire)--

The Ohio State University Veterinary Medical Center (OSUVMC) at Dublin is on a mission this holiday season to ensure that sheltered pets have plenty of food, toys, and supplies.

The First Annual OSUVMC at Dublin Pet Food Drive - benefiting the Capital Area Humane Society - will be held December 3 - 23, 2013 at the hospital, located at 5020 Bradenton Ave., Dublin, Ohio 43017, (614) 889-8070. Donations are accepted 24/7.

"Due to anticipated harsh winter weather conditions, the Capital Area Humane Society will face many challenges with local pets in need of their help," said Heidi Shull, MBA, OSUVMC at Dublin Practice Administrator. "The Humane Society is a tremendous benefit to our community, and we're asking the public to contribute food, treats, toys, blankets, leashes, among many other items to help dogs and cats who aren't fortunate enough to have a family to care for them. We are honored to spearhead this special event and are open 24/7 to accept donations."

No gift is too small and every gift makes a difference. A complete list of necessary items can be found at: http://www.cahs-pets.org/get_involved/wish_list.htm. All donations will be delivered to the Humane Society on December 23.
