First Merchants Bank Commences Construction

On Monday, December 2 at 1:00 p.m., First Merchants Chief Banking Officer Mike Stewart and First Merchants Bank Regional President Mike Hurst joined First Merchants facilities and banking center team members to celebrate the commencement of construction for a new First Merchants Banking Center.

The banking center will be located at 10210 North Michigan Road in Carmel, Indiana and will become the bank's 96^th banking center. It is planned to open late spring of 2014. Mike Stewart commented, "We continue to grow! This new banking center represents our commitment to Carmel and Northwest Indianapolis, as our growth in market share continues. New business customers, as well as new mortgage and retail customers drove the need to build our new facility. I thank the customers who have chosen to bank with us and I look forward to welcoming new First Merchants customers."
