Oklahomans named to Kansas City Fed board [Tulsa World, Okla.]
(Tulsa World (OK) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Dec. 14--Several Oklahomans have been appointed to fill positions on the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City.
The board of governors of the Federal Reserve System reappointed Rose Washington, executive director of the Tulsa Economic Development Corp., as a Class C director for the Kansas City board of directors. She will serve a three-year term ending Dec. 31, 2016.
The Kansas City board represents the Tenth Federal Reserve District, which includes Oklahoma, Colorado, Kansas, Nebraska, Wyoming, northern New Mexico and western Missouri.
Directors meet monthly to discuss economic and banking developments and to advise the Reserve Bank on its operations and policies.
Branch directors also were appointed or reappointed to serve three-year terms for the various branches of the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City, including the Oklahoma City branch. These include Paula Bryant-Ellis, chief operating officer, BOK Financial Mortgage Group in Tulsa; Charles R. Hall, chairman and CEO of Exchange Bank and Trust Co., Perry; and Clint D. Abernathy, owner, Abernathy Farms Inc. in Altus.
Also, Jim Dunn, chairman of Mill Creek Lumber and Supply Co. in Tulsa, will serve as branch board chairman in 2014. Oklahoma City branch directors represent the state of Oklahoma.
Each branch office board is made up of seven directors, four of whom are appointed by the Kansas City board of directors and three that are appointed by the board of governors of the Federal Reserve System.
