LibertyBell Law Group's California civil lawyers obtained an undisclosed amount in a settlement for a client against the owner of a massage parlor for sexual harassment and battery. The client had received inappropriate comments and was violated in the chest and buttocks areas by the owner.

The California massage parlor, where the sexual harassment and battery occurred, markets itself as having a blend of European and Asian qualities. It is located in an upper middle class neighborhood boasting homes worth half a million dollars and up.

The client's husband gave her a gift certificate to visit the massage parlor for Mother's Day. The mom had frequented the massage parlor previously. It was her first Mother's Day and on that day she went to redeem her gift. When she arrived she was greeted as usual by the owner. It was commonplace for the owner to reside at the front desk, greet, and schedule clients. The mother had rejected comments the married owner made about her reminding him of his ex-girlfriend.

The civil lawyers' client proceeded to wait in a lavishly decorated room. The mom was surprised to see the owner walk in and tell her that day he was going to be performing the massage.

The civil lawyers' client was a wife, mother ad home-maker. As a result of the incident she suffered from severe distress, anxiety attacks, and nausea. She was diagnosed with having migraine headaches and her symptoms only worsened with time. Therapy is being administered to the client.
