Kathleen M. Schulz Re-Elected To Board Of World's Largest Scientific Society

(Targeted News Service Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) WASHINGTON, Dec. 17 -- The American Chemical Society issued the following news release: Kathleen M. Schulz, Ph.D., president of Business Results, Inc., of Albuquerque, N.M., has been re-elected a director-at-large of the American Chemical Society (ACS), the world's largest scientific society. She begins serving her second three-year term in January.

Schulz, who lives in Albuquerque, graduated from Eastern New Mexico University with a B.S., summa cum laude, and she received her Ph.D. from the University of Missouri--Columbia.

Schulz stresses the need for chemists to explain their science in a readily accessible way to the public.

"ACS must provide resources to help non-scientists understand the importance of chemistry to their health and well-being," she says. "Our future as a nation depends on how well the general public, legislators and other policymakers understand and support the transforming power of chemistry in their everyday lives." The American Chemical Society is a nonprofit organization chartered by the U.S. Congress. With more than 163,000 members, ACS is the world's largest scientific society and a global leader in providing access to chemistry-related research through its multiple databases, peer-reviewed journals and scientific conferences. Its main offices are in Washington, D.C., and Columbus, Ohio.
