Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority Announces Promotions(Targeted News Service Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) NASHVILLE, Tenn., Dec. 17 -- The Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority issued the following news release: As the greater Nashville area continues to grow, the Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority (MNAA) is planning for the future of Nashville International Airport and John C. Tune Airport. MNAA President and CEO Rob Wigington announces the following promotions: * Doug Kreulen to Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer * Amy Armstrong to Senior Vice President and Chief People Officer for Workforce Strategy and Development * Robert Ramsey to Chief Engineer and Vice President of Development and Engineering * Christine Vitt to Vice President of Strategic Planning and Sustainability * Emily Richard to Vice President of Strategic Communications and External Affairs * Trudy Carson to Director of Air Service Development "As members of an outstanding MNAA leadership team, these leaders will assume expanded roles and responsibilities to help us meet our goals and objectives: (1) safety and security as our highest priority; (2) outstanding customer service--the Nashville Airports Experience; (3) economically sustained services and facilities; and (4) high-performing systems," Wigington said. "Nashville International Airport surpassed the 10 million passenger milestone last fiscal year, and the forecast is for continued, rapid growth--doubling that number in approximately 20 years." "With the economic growth of Nashville and the region we serve, we can expect the population, businesses, visitors and conventions will continue to grow, placing even greater demands on our facilities and services," Wigington continued. "We are moving forward aggressively to continue to add new non-stop flights, rebuild critical infrastructure, undertake new sustainability and environmental initiatives and develop long-term strategies to serve Nashville in the future. Doug Kreulen Kreulen joined the MNAA in April 2012 from Huntsville International Airport, where he served as the Director of Operations. Prior to beginning his career in the commercial aviation business sector, Kreulen served for 27 years in the United States Air Force. He is a graduate of Auburn University with a Bachelor of Science degree and subsequently earned a Master of Science in Personnel Management from Troy University and a Master of Science in National Security Strategy from the National Defense University in Washington, D.C. Kreulen is a member of the American Association of Airport Executives. He also serves on the Gander International Airport Military Affairs Committee and the United Services Organization Advisory Board for Tennessee. Amy Armstrong Prior to joining the MNAA in 1995, Armstrong retired from the U.S. Army as a lieutenant colonel, serving more than 21 years as a military intelligence officer in the continental U.S. as well as in Korea, Germany and Turkey. Armstrong founded the Airport Human Resources Consortium and has been instrumental in having it recognized as a committee under the Airports Council International-North America (ACI-NA). She chaired ACI-NA's Human Resources committee for its first two years. Armstrong was also instrumental in the founding of the World Human Resources Forum and was the first chair. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Geopolitics from Austin Peay State University in Clarksville, Tenn., and a master's in Public Administration from the University of Oklahoma at Norman. Robert Ramsey Prior to joining the MNAA in 2003, Ramsey was employed with Atriax Architects and Engineers, working at Pope Air Force Base. Ramsey is active in the community and is a member of the Leadership Donelson/Hermitage-Class of 2008. Ramsey earned a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from the Virginia Military Institute and a Master of Science in engineering management from the University of Missouri at Rolla. In 2009, Ramsey was selected as one of Nashville's top "40 Under 40" professionals by the Nashville Business Journal and was named an Emerging Leader by the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce and Young Professionals Nashville. Christine Vitt Vitt joined MNAA in 2006 and has more than 20 years of engineering, environmental and management experience. A professional engineer, Vitt holds a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from the Rochester Institute of Technology. She graduated from the Signature Executive Program at Belmont University in 2009. Vitt was nominated in 2009 by her colleagues and was presented the Glenda C. Norvell Award, which honors an employee who provides great customer service. In 2010, Vitt graduated from the Leadership Donelson/Hermitage program and is currently the chair of the McGavock Cluster Coalition, a volunteer organization concepted during her participation in the program. In 2012, she earned her Certified Member from the Accredited Airport Executive Program. In 2013, she earned designation an International Aviation Professional from the Global Airport Management Professional Accreditation Programme. Emily Richard Richard joined MNAA in 2007 after serving as marketing and communications director for Cover Tennessee at the Tennessee Department of Finance and Administration. Her public relations career also includes work for the Tennessee Department of Revenue and public relations and advertising firms in Kentucky and Tennessee. Richard is a member of the Public Relations Society of America. She serves on the board of Renewal House. A Kentucky native, Richard has a bachelor's degree in public relations from Western Kentucky University and a Master of Business Administration from the Jack C. Massey Graduate School of Business at Belmont University. Trudy Carson Carson joined MNAA in 2011 with more than 17 years of experience in the airport industry, specializing in air service development and marketing. Prior to joining MNAA, she worked 14 years with Tampa International Airport. Carson has a Master of Business Administration degree in finance and marketing from Xavier University in Ohio and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Indiana University. Originally from El Salvador, she is fluent in Spanish and German. In 2009, she served as the chairwoman for the International Air Service Committee of the Airports Council International.
