VIVA Bahrain signs key ICT deal with hospital [Gulf Daily News (Bahrain)]
(Gulf Daily News (Bahrain) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) MANAMA: VIVA Bahrain has signed a strategic agreement with the King Hamad University Hospital (KHUH) which will see both organisations working collaboratively to further strengthen Bahrain's health system and the end-to-end patient experience.
VIVA's innovation and thought leadership will assist KHUH and related health entities stay ahead of the technology curve by providing best-in-class global information and communication technology (ICT) solutions.
Through the agreement, VIVA will be offering secure, robust and high-quality network services through its dedicated business unit VIVA Enterprise.
This offers tailored communication solutions to leading business organisations across all industry verticals in Bahrain to help transform their business by providing them with the latest ICT technologies.
The first step to improve services VIVA will provide 50MB dedicated high-speed Internet access.
The agreement will further enable rapid and smooth flow of information between various health entities and allows KHUH to access vital information and data to enhance patient experience.
"We are excited that KHUH has agreed to bring into play VIVA's services as a telecom provider, which bolsters our existing relationship with the medical institution," VIVA chief executive Ulaiyan Al Wetaid said.
"We have been working with KHUH and the Health Ministry closely to help unify their communications network on a number of projects and will continue with our efforts to meet the distinctive requirements of the health sector, where reliable communications is vital to keep up with uninterrupted medical assistance and strict compliance.
