In fact, Fina is touted to be the first EPD to enter mass production for small to large format digital paper products based on a thin glass Thin Film Transistor technology. It will be first incorporated into the Android-based PocketBook CAD Reader tablet, which is specially designed so that it will be able to display drawings generated with Autocad, while the user is on the move.

Fina displays are extremely lightweight, tipping the scales at under 50 per cent of the weight of an equivalent glass based TFT and is also less than 50 per cent thinner. For instance, when you take the 13.3 inch Fina display module on the Pocket CAD Reader, the entire thing weighs about 60 grammes.

Other hardware specifications of the PocketBook CAD Reader include a powerful 1GHz dual-core processor powered by Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich, which comes with 2GB RAM and 16GB of internal memory, integrated WiFi and 3G modules, an 8,000 mAh battery, and pre-installed CAD-applications.
