Delaware Veterans Home Offers a New Way to Donate Online

DOVER, Del. --(Business Wire)--

The Delaware Veterans Home (DVH) has a new online application that makes it easier than ever to make donations in support of amenities for the heroes residing there. Individuals, businesses and organizations can make tax deductible donations to the Veterans Home Fund, the Memorial Brick Program and the Friends of the Delaware Veterans Home. The online application can be accessed from the DVH web site or directly at https://egov.delaware.gov/Donations/Vets/DVH.

"It is through the generous donations of supporters that the Home continues to improve the quality of life for our veterans by enhancing recreational programs and maintaining the overall homelike environment in which they live," said DVH Administrator Bill Peterson. "Making online donations through the Memorial Brick Program is also a great way to commemorate loved ones in honor of specific causes."

The Friends of the Delaware Veterans Home, a 501(c)3) non-profit organization, raises funds primarily for larger projects such as the DVH outdoor pavilion and fishing pier.

"New eGovernment tools like this donation application help us meet Governor Markell's challenge to make the state more efficient, effective and open," noted Government Information Center director Greg Hughes (News - Alert).
