Lando & Anastasi, LLP Expands Litigation, Electrical/Computer, and Biotechnology/Pharmaceutical Practices


CAMBRIDGE, Mass. --(Business Wire)--

Lando and Anastasi, LLP (L&A) today announced that Eric P. Carnevale, Hannah R. Koyfman, Jennifer M. Heywood, Marcus E. Browne and Andrew B. Greenwell have joined the firm.

The Cambridge-based intellectual property law firm, one of the largest IP firms in New England, has continued its rapid growth. The L&A litigation, electrical and computer science, and biotechnology and pharmaceutical practice areas expanded to support strong business growth in 2013, and the firm is projecting 10% to 15% further growth of all of its practices in 2014.

Eric P. Carnevale is an Associate at L&A, and focuses his practice on patent, trademark, and copyright litigation and counseling. Prior to joining L&A, he was an Associate at Kenyon & Kenyon, LLP in New York. Eric is registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.

Eric graduated from Boston University School of Law, where he was on the editorial board of the Journal of Science and Technology Law. He received a B.S. in Biology from Case Western Reserve University.

Hannah R. Koyfman is an Associate at L&A, and focuses her practice on patent prosecution, diligence, counseling, and litigation in the biotechnology, biopharmaceutical, and medical device industries. Prior to joining the firm, Hannah was a patent agent at Ropes & Gray LLP in Boston.

Hannah graduated from Harvard Law School. She received a Ph.D. in Cell Biology from the University of California, San Francisco; she completed her post-doctoral fellowship at the MIT (News - Alert) Whitehead Institute. Hannah received her Sc.B., with honors in Biology, from Brown University. She is the author of several sientific research articles published in leading journals.

Jennifer M. Heywood is an Associate at L&A, and focuses her practice on patent prosecution and counseling in the areas of wireless technologies and telecommunications, medical devices, electronics, software, optics, and computer architecture. Prior to joining L&A, she was an associate at Foley & Lardner in Boston and Madison, Wisconsin. Jen is registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.


Jen graduated from Marquette University Law School, with honors. She received a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and a B.S. in Journalism and Legal Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Marcus E. Browne is a Technology Specialist at L&A, and focuses his practice on the patent prosecution, due diligence reviews and general intellectual property counseling in the hardware, software, telecommunications and electro-mechanical industries. Marcus is registered to practice before the United States Patent & Trademark Office.

Marcus received both his M.Eng. and B.S. (summa cum laude) degrees from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, with specialization in Communications, Signals and Systems. His prior experience includes positions at ExxonMobil Research & Engineering, Marathon Petroleum Company and Pratt & Whitney. Marcus attends Suffolk University Law School, and expects to graduate in 2017.

Andrew B. Greenwell is a Technology Specialist at L&A, and focuses his practice on the patent prosecution, due diligence reviews and general intellectual property counseling in the electronics and computer technologies and Internet and software industries.

Andrew received both his Ph.D. and M.S. degrees in Optics from the University of Central Florida, College of Optics and Photonics/CREOL, where his doctoral research focused on computational nanophotonics, integrated and diffractive optics. He received a B.A. in Physics and Mathematics, magna cum laude and Departmental Honors, from Transylvania University. Andrew is the author of several published articles on scientific research and computing. Prior to joining L&A, he worked as a Program Manager at Microsoft (News - Alert) Corporation and as an Application Engineer at Interactive Supercomputing.
