Chehlum of Hazrat Imam Hussain held peacefully


(Nation (Pakistan) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) The Chelum of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) was observed peacefully in provincial capital on Tuesday. Several processions were taken out in the city that converged into the main procession.

The main procession of the Chehlum was taken out from Delhi Gate through Masjid Wazir Khan, Pani Wala Talab, Rang Mehal, Bazaar-e-Hakeeman and Bhaati Gate concluded at Karbala Gamay Shah. The Urs celebrations of Hazrat Data Bunj Bakhsh were also being observed.



Numbers of majalis were also held across the City in which noted religious scholars threw light on the sacrifices of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) and his companions in Karbala. Stalls of milk were setup, water and food on the route of the processions, while public and private ambulances and medical professionals remained on procession route to deal with any emergency. Strict security measures including suspension of cell phone services and banning pillion riding were major steps to avert any unwanted incident on the day of Chehlum of Martyrs of Karbala.

While, the route of the procession was monitored, law enforcing agencies and elected representatives in a control room setup at the DCO Office, besides the surveillance of intelligence agencies. Scores of policemen were deployed on the route of the procession.
