Firm takes on customers [Grimsby Telegraph (UK)]

(Grimsby Telegraph (UK) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) NORTH Lincolnshire Homes has handed over the running of its broadband service to another provider.

Diamond-net was set up last year by North Lincolnshire Homes for people living in Scunthorpe to gain broadband access. However, wireless internet service provider Quickline Communications - based in Hull - has acquired the customer base of diamond-net. John Anderton, of North Lincolnshire Homes, said the decision was based upon the best interests of customers.

He said: "Due to the growing demand for the service and the need to deliver a consistently high standard of service for more and more customers we have taken the commercial decision to transfer the service to local broadband provider Quickline Communications.

"We are reassured that this decision is in the best interests for our customers and will result in further improved services, such as online customer accounts to manage bills and view usage, a variety of payment choices, 24/7 technical helpline and priority data transfer for applications such as catch-up TV."
