Goods worth Rs 45,000 stolen from Panaji car [Goa] [Times of India]

(Times of India Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) PANAJI: Unknown miscreants broke into a car in Panaji on Friday night and fled with goods worth 45,000 which also included a laptop.

Gangadhar Devarmani, a resident of Dona Paula, complained to Panaji police stating that between 7.45pm and 9.50pm he had parked his car in the vicinity of Inox theatre in the capital city when the theft occurred.

The accused committed the theft by breaking open the glass door on the right side of the car. The thieves fled with a laptop, pen drive, two memory cards, modems, among other goods, all worth 45,000.

The car was not parked in any private parking area but in the open parking lot.

The accused have been booked under Sections 576/13 u/s 427, 379 of the IPC.

The case is being investigated by head constable Apa Parab.
