Trimble puts Trade Service data in new software [Snips]

(Snips Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Trimble has integrated Trade Service's Tra-Ser product and pricing data in the latest version of its Trimble AutoBid Mechanical 2013- This gives mechanical and plumbing contractors access to real-time information on more than 2 million items, reducing the need for manual bidding, officials said.

Trimble purchased Trade Service in May.

"By integrating the Tra-Ser product and pricing service from the newly acquired Trade Service organization, we can build on the capabilities of the Trimble AutoBid Mechanical solution that allows our customers to obtain data to more accurately bid a project," said Pat Bohle, general manager of Trimble's MEP Division. "Combining this new functionality with the ability to import drawings directly from the Trimble PipeDesigner 3-D CAD solution, Trimble AutoBid Mechanical helps to eliminate the guesswork associated with the pre-construction process."
