Tele2 Latvia upgrades its Riga network [IntelliNews - Weekly Reports]
(IntelliNews - Weekly Reports Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) The Latvian unit of Swedish mobile operator Tele2 has invested LVL 1mn (EUR 1.42mn) in upgrading its network in the capital city Riga, Telecompaper.com reported.
The upgrade included the installation of 24 new 3G base stations, while the existing base stations were upgraded, which allows faster mobile internet and better voice services quality.
Tele2 Latvia used Nokia Siemens Networks equipment for its network modernisation across the country, also including the regions of Kurzeme, Latgale, Vidzeme and Ziemgale.
