Computer club crashes into new venue [Lincolnshire Echo (England)]
(Lincolnshire Echo (England) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) A computer club which has its roots in the 1970s is looking to the future with a change of venue. From January 8, the twice- monthly meetings of Lincoln Computer Club will be at Birchwood Leisure Centre from 8pm.
The club offers a friendly atmosphere where people of all ages and interests can share experiences and get support.
Chairman Bill Drinkall said: "Over time we have ranged from hands- on electronics to hand-held devices, via PCs and laptops. "But always to the fore have been useful maintenance tips and wise security precautions." Up until Christmas the club, which developed as an informal place to employ and enjoy the new technology, had used a room at Bailgate Methodist Church. The new era at Birchwood Leisure Centre continues on the second and fourth Wednesdays of each month from January 8. For more information, visit www.lincolncomputerclub.info
