Under the human resources law, teachers who wish to resign from government schools are given 15 days to review their decision. Schools have to wait 15 days before looking for replacements, according to Juma Khalfan Al Kindi, the director of the Fujairah School District. He told Al Ittihad, the Arabic-language sister paper of The National, that the education ministry was working on replacing the teachers before the second school term starts.
