(Targeted News Service Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) By Targeted News Service ALEXANDRIA, Va., Jan. 5 -- Broadcom, Irvine, Calif., has been assigned a patent (8,621,379) developed by four co-inventors for a method and system "in which a Windows Portable Devices (WPD) driver installed and executed on a central device enables one or more applications on that device to interface with a peripheral device, such as a Bluetooth low energy (BLE) device." The co-inventors are Victor Zhodzishsky, Potomac, Md., Ashok Kapur, Frederick, Md., Ilya Faenson, Rockville, Md., and Ron Wong, San Diego.
