(TSX:BAJ). Miner. Unchanged at one cent on 8.25 million shares. BlackBerry Ltd. (TSX:BB). Wireless communications. Up 63 cents, or 7.40 per cent, at $9.14 on 5.01 million shares. The company registered a solid gain for a second day after CEO John Chen told Bloomberg TV that the smartphone maker plans to re-focus on keyboard-equipped phones. Chen said the company's phones will "predominantly" have physical keyboards in the future, rather than touch screens. Shoppers Drug Mart Corp. (TSX:SC). Retail. Down seven cents, or 0.12 per cent, at $57.88 on 3.98 million shares. Rutter Inc. (TSX:RUT). Technology. Up 2.5 cents, or 83.33 per cent, at 5.5 cents on 3.89 million shares. Rutter says a group comprised of some of its board of directors intends to make an unsolicited takeover bid of 6.1 cents per share for the company. The group making the offer currently owns or controls a 38.9 per cent stake in the company. Bankers Petroleum Ltd. (TSX:BNK). Oil and gas. Up 16 cents, or 3.61 per cent, at $4.59 on 3.81 million shares. Carpathian Gold Inc. (TSX:CPN). Miner. Up two cents, or 21.05 per cent, at 11.5 cents on 3.69 million shares. Toronto Venture Exchange (949.83 up 3.78 points): TransGaming Inc. (TSXV:TNG). Up 20 cents, or 105.26 per cent, at 39 cents on 7.73 million shares. Pinecrest Energy Inc. (TSXV:PRY). Oil and gas. Up 1.5 cents, or 3.57 per cent, at 43.5 cents on 6.96 million shares. Companies reporting major news: Bombardier Inc. (TSX:BBD.B). Transportation. Down two cents, or 0.44 per cent, at $4.57 on 3.2 million shares. San Francisco's transit system has awarded a US$639-million confirmed order to Bombardier Inc., part of a long-term contract signed in June 2012. Bombardier Transport says San Francisco's Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) has ordered an additional 365 rail cars, bringing the number of firm orders under the contract to 775. Manitoba Telecom Services Inc. (TSX:MBT). Down 16 cents, or 0.53 per cent, at $29.99 on 337,019 shares. The company says the president of its MTS Allstream division is stepping down on Jan. 17 to pursue other interests, following 17 years with the company. Allstream president Dean Prevost will be replaced by the division's chief operating officer, Michael Strople, who has been with the company since 2005. Power Corp. of Canada (TSX:POW). Down 51 cents, or 1.63 per cent, at $30.75 on 2,513,113 shares. The estate of Paul G. Desmarais and the Desmarais Family Residuary Trust reduced their stakes in Power Corp. of Canada on Tuesday, selling nearly 15.5 million shares in an estate planning move. Saputo Inc. (TSX:SAP). Up 10 cents, or 0.21 per cent, to $48.75 on 135,234 shares. The company's bid to acquire Australia's oldest dairy processor got a boost Tuesday when a Australian competition agency reiterated its concerns about a rival offer from Murray Goulburn. Valeant Pharmaceuticals International Inc. (TSX:VRX). Up $15.04, or 12.53 per cent, at $135.03 on 593,750 shares. The pharmaceutical company said Tuesday that it expects revenue of between $8.2 billion to $8.6 billion for fiscal 2014, an increase of 40 per cent, and cash earnings between US$8.25 and US$8.75 per share.
