(Mirror (UK) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) A leading business group wants the Government to help British musicians double their US album sales by 2025.

Artists such as Adele and One Direction already account for 13.7% of the key market. The CBI reckons with action to tackle music piracy and boost funding that figure could soar.

Publishing its Creative Nation report today, the group will also call for support for Britain's film makers, fashion designers and video game developers. The creative sector is worth Pounds 36billion and employs 1.5 million people. The CBI's call coincides with the announcement of this year's Brit nominations today.
