Privatisation of PIA's 26% shares, other entities approved(National Herald Tribune (Pakistan) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) The Privatisation Commission has approved the privatisation of three state-owned entities including the national flag carrier Pakistan International Airlines (PIA). The commission's board of directors met here on Wednesday and decided that National Power Construction, Heavy Electrical Complex and 26 percent of PIA shares along with the management control of the national airline will be privatised. According to details, an Economic Advisor will be appointed for the privatisation of PIA in March this year. The decision of the Privatisation Commission will be presented before the parliament for final approval. |
