Word Matters [Global Times]

(Global Times Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Illustration: Lu Ting/GT  "I welcome the new quarterly telecom packages although I think the mobile operators can make a bigger move by introducing yearlong plans."China's three major telecom carriers this week started offering new mobile data plans that last longer than one month, allowing users to hold onto unused data for up to three months. Shanghai news portal xinmin.cn interviewed local residents about these new schemes. While most people said that they welcomed the plans which give them more liberty to deal with their previously unused monthly data allowances, many also believe that the new three-month packages are not a real solution and China's major mobile operators should introduce yearly plans to benefit their customers instead.
