Donnycreek Announces Officer Appointments and Annual and Special Meeting Results(Marketwire (Canada) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) CALGARY, ALBERTA--(Marketwired - Jan. 14, 2014) - Donnycreek Energy Inc. ("Donnycreek" or the "Company") (TSX VENTURE:DCK) reports that Mr. John (Jack) Marsh, P.Eng., has been appointed Chief Operating Officer of the Company and Mr. Murray Scalf has been appointed Executive Vice President of the Company, effective January 14, 2014. At its annual and special meeting of shareholders of the Company ("Shareholders") held on January 14, 2014 (the "Meeting"), Shareholders approved all items of business, including an amendment to the Company's by-laws relating to the advance notice for the nomination of directors (the "Advance Notice By-Law"). The Advance Notice By-Law fixes deadlines for submitting director nominations to the Company prior to any annual or special meeting of Shareholders where director are to be elected, and sets forth the information that a Shareholder must include in their nomination in order for it to be valid. The purpose of the Advance Notice By-Law is to treat all Shareholders fairly by ensuring that all Shareholders, including those participating in a meeting by proxy rather than in person, receive adequate notice of the nominations to be considered at a meeting and can thereby exercise their voting rights in an informed manner. In addition, the Advance Notice By-Law should assist in facilitating an orderly and efficient meeting process.
