Johnston Press hires Moriarty [Herald, The (Scotland)](Herald, The (Scotland) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) US media executive Jeff Moriarty has been hired by Johnston Press, publisher of the Scotsman and Yorkshire Post titles, as its chief digital and product officer. He will take on the position from April 2014 following the departure of Henry Faure Walker to become chief executive of Newsquest, owner of The Herald. Mr Moriarty, a former reporter, is currently vice president, digital products for the Boston Globe.
