Computer Programs and Systems, Inc.'s Medical Practice EMR Receives 2014 ONC HIT Certification

Computer Programs and Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: CPSI), a leading provider of healthcare information technology to rural, community and specialty hospitals, announced today that the CPSI Medical Practice EMR System, Version 19, is compliant with the ONC 2014 Edition criteria and was certified as a Complete EHR on Dec. 22, 2013, by the Certification Commission for Health Information Technology (CCHIT®), an ONC-ACB, in accordance with the applicable Eligible Provider certification criteria adopted by the Secretary of Health and Human Services. The ONC 2014 Edition criteria support both Stage 1 and 2 Meaningful Use measures required to qualify eligible providers and hospitals for funding under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA).

The ONC HIT Certification Program certifies that Complete EHRs meet all of the 2014 Edition criteria and EHR Modules meet one or more - but not all - of the criteria approved by the Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS) for either eligible provider or hospital technology.

CPSI Medical Practice EMR, Version 19's certification number is CC-2014-811229-2. ONC HIT certification conferred by CCHIT does not represent an endorsement of the certified EHR technology by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

The clinical quality measures to which CPSI Medical Practice EMR has been certified include: CMS122v2, CMS126v2, CMS130v2, CMS138v2, CMS146v2, CMS154v2, CMS155v2, CMS158v2 and CMS165v2.

The additional software CPSI Medical Practice EMR relied upon to demonstrate compliance includes: hDirect Core Services, HLI Clinical Vocabulary, Truven Health Clinical Monitoring with Infobutton and Truven Health Patient Education with Infobutton.

The additional types of costs tht an eligible provider would pay to implement the CPSI Medical Practice EMR System, Version 19 in order to attempt to meet Meaningful Use objectives and measures include: data conversion and setup, implementation and training and ongoing support services.
