A.M. BestTV: Regulation, Excess Capital Take Center Stage at Property/Casualty Industry ForumOLDWICK, N.J. --(Business Wire)-- In this episode of A.M. BestTV, top insurance industry executives and officials discuss major market shifts at the Property/Casualty Insurance Joint Industry Forum in New York, caused predominantly by regulatory uncertainty and a glut of new capital. Many executives, including Michael Sapnar, president and CEO of Transatlantic Holdings Inc., and Jay Gelb, managing director at Barclays Capital, said the influx of alternative capital is causing a market transformation. Matt Mosher, senior vice president of global ratings at A.M. On regulation, John Huff, director of Missouri's Department of Insurance, Financial Institutions & Professional Registration, said the uncertainty is hampering the ability of the property/casualty sector to conduct its business.
