Over the last two decades, he has achieved tremendous success. He had come to the city with a dream of becoming a writer, which he was not able to pursue then. Nevertheless, he is writing for a few well-known publications today.


Maheshwari started S Kumar publicity on May 12, 1993. "During the 90s there were not many advertisement agencies in the city. I started the agency on a part-time basis while working at a jewellery shop at sector 10 in the city. Being an active member of the Jain community, I would regularly visit media offices to give community-related advertisements. Once while I was at a media office, one of the persons suggested I should start an agency, which would help me in earning some commission. I thought the idea was great. I started this agency and would design the ads myself and take them to the press. Steadily my client base grew," said Maheshwari, who lives at Sanpada's Palm Beach Road. His publicity firm has received accreditation from Indian Newspaper Society. Today, the bulk of the agency's clientele is from education and business categories.""Rahul Godghase, Rahul Advertising Rahul Dattatrya Godghase started Rahul Advertising 11 years ago. Initially, when he started the agency, he would operate it all by himself from his home in Vashi. His initial clients included builders, automobile dealers and hospitals. He says, "I did my graphic designing from Aurangabad and came to the city to find a job. I was working in an ad agency but I was keen to starting something of my own. Today, I have clients from different sectors." Godghase started the agency when he was 25 and believes that he still has a lot to learn. "For me each day is a new experience and I consider myself to be fortunate enough for not being in a regular job. I believe that I have been able to earn good returns only because of word-of-mouth publicity," says Godghase, who has always strived for client satisfaction. ""Amardeep Singh Vig, Ronak Advertising Ronak Advertising agency needs no introduction. Started in the year 1993, the agency has been steadily growing every year. The credit goes to Amardeep Singh Vig, the owner of the agency, for leading his team efficiently. Vig says, "We have ventured into fields like public relations and have tried to make our presence felt everywhere in the city." This is evident from the fact that the agency was the media sponsor at the Shah Rukh Khan night during the Durga puja celebrations in the city, the Guinness Book of World Records event by Fortis Hiranandani hospital or the musical night at DY Patil stadium where AR Rahman performed. Their ad campaigns in Navi Mumbai have moved beyond sector 17 in Vashi to other nodes. The agency has won several awards in the past year, which includes the title of  Best Ad agency from Gehlot Institute of Management and other awards. ""Sameer Malwade, Siba ads Sameer Malwade did his Masters in Business Administration in marketing from the Institute for Technology and Management (ITM), Kharghar, after which he started working as an area manager at Exide batteries in Santacruz. He was also involved in designing advertisements for the product. "However, I was keen on starting something on my own and thus Siba ads was born in 2003.

From a two-member team, our staff strength has now grown considerably. Today, I can proudly say that I have a creative team, which is always very supportive," says Malwade. "I was very keen on operating in Navi Mumbai as it was considered a new city, having new opportunities for all of us. Siba ads also grew with the city and kept providing excellent brand building measures to its clients," says Malwade, who believes that an agency should cater to all kinds of mediums. Today, their clients include some big names from the construction industry as well as some well-known electronic outlets in Navi Mumbai. ""Peter David Arakal, Shawn advertising Peter David Arakal started Shawn advertising in 2008. This 32-year-old did his Bachelors in Business Administration after which he started working at an advertising agency in the city. "I came to Navi Mumbai in 2001 and worked at Ronak Advertising for four years. Later, I moved to another ad agency, and while working as the branch head of Vashi, I got a wide exposure. Later, I quit this advertising agency and set up Shawn advertising in Kharghar. Nearly 65% of our clients are from retail and automobile sectors," says Arakal, whose goal behind starting an ad agency was not just to earn commission, but also to provide quality service to clients, besides aiming at 100% client satisfaction.""Nilesh Vora,SureShot Advertising Nilesh Vora, 48, started working at SureShot advertising in 1986 and took over the reins in 1992. Getting into the world of advertising was a new experience for him. And he was confident enough to take up the challenge. "I have been in the industry for a long time and still feel that there's enough work for everyone to survive. I have always believed in working ethically. Over the years, I have realised that mutual appreciation, wherein people respect each other's work, has diminished considerably," says Vora, whose agency is located in Sanpada.

The agency is involved in print, outdoor and radio advertising and is also into stall designing and making television commercials. The agency has made eight television commercials so far that include ads for Today's contraceptive, Nakoda ghee and Himadri masala.""Manoj Jalnawalla, Manoj advertising Manoj Jalnawalla grew up in Navi Mumbai. His father, Ashok Jalnawalla started the agency around 25 years ago and today, junior Jalnawalla is in charge. He says, "I joined my father's business in the early 90s and started understanding the nuances of the game. Since I have done my post graduation in advertising and public relations, it proved to be an added advantage. These days, clients look for the best and are not ready to settle for anything less, because now they have a lot of options to choose from, thanks to several new agencies coming up over the years."
