ALEXANDRIA, Va., Jan. 22 -- Microsoft, Redmond, Wash., has been assigned a patent (8,635,635) developed by five co-inventors for "factoring middleware for anti-piracy." The co-inventors are Kenneth Ray, Seattle, Gennady Medvinsky, Redmond, Wash., Vijay Gajjala, Sammamish, Wash., Darko Kirovski, Kirkland, Wash., and Benjamin Livshits, Kirkland, Wash.
