ALEXANDRIA, Va., Jan. 27 -- Microsoft, Redmond, Wash., has been assigned a patent (8,634,563) developed by Vinod Vaikuntanathan, Seattle, and Panagiotis Voulgaris, San Diego, for an "attribute based encryption using lattices."
