GoDaddy Helps Small Businesses Get Found Online

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. --(Business Wire)--

GoDaddy, the world's top platform for small businesses, today expanded its product portfolio with the introduction of Get Found, which helps small businesses attract new customers on popular destinations, including Google (News - Alert), Yahoo, Facebook and Yelp.

How many times have you tried to contact or visit a local business only to find out their phone number or physical address is out of date? Using GoDaddy Get Found, businesses can publish critical information like location, phone number, hours-of-operation, as well as service lists, menus and photos on search engines, social media, top local sites and mobile apps. Additionally, having updated and accurate information across various popular websites increases a customer's visibility in search engine results.

When consumers search for businesses and see inaccurate or conflicting information, they often go elsewhere. When a business signs up for Get Found and provides their business location, services, contact information, etc., the correct information is automatically pushed everywhere. Business owners are then also able to track where their business is showing up online and verify the correct material is displayed.

Customers using Get Found1 at launch will be showcased on the Web, mobile sites and apps, including Google, Yahoo, Bing, Yelp, Foursquare (News - Alert), YP (Yellowpages), Citysearch, TripAdvisor, OpenTable, Local.com, Judy's Book, MerchantCircle and MojoPages.

Go Daddy Get Found is an evolution of the Locu product, which GoDaddy acquired in August of 2013.

"An average consumer uses more than two different online sources when looking for information about a business, and when they see missing or conflicted information, they usually go to a competitor," said GoDaddy Vice President and General Manager of Discovery Mareting Products Rene Reinsberg. "Businesses miss potential revenue when they can't be found online, and we are making it drop-dead simple for them to get onto all the top websites."

Ombra Cucina Rustica Owner/Manager Lauren Cirafesi, a Get Found customer, agrees.

"People tell me all the time they found our restaurant on Yelp (News - Alert), TripAdvisor or OpenTable," said Cirafesi. "If we didn't show up on these sites, we'd lose business to a restaurant down the street. In a place like Hilton Head, competition is fierce and incorrect business information could be the difference in a successful night and a flop. Get Found helps put my business everywhere it needs to be on the Web.

"With Get Found, I can also easily change my hours for holidays or special events and whenever we have a restaurant special," adds Cirafesi. "So I never miss out on a potential customer."

The innovative Get Found product is the subject of GoDaddy's new Super Bowl commercial featuring Danica Patrick, which is set to air in the second half of the big game.
